Kiwi Sport

Today the Senior School had its first Kiwi Sport Session for this term.

Ben, from Auckland Badminton, taught us some badminton skills. We used a badminton racket and a shuttle.

We learnt how to hit the shuttle using a forearm hit and backhand hit. Ben also taught us how to hold the racket using different grips.

Culture Groups

I am feeling very excited about taking part in the culture activities at school this term.
Today I picked two culture groups that I want to be in.
My first choice was Fiji and I picked
Cook Island as my second choice.

ANZAC Poem

They answered our call, with mighty hearts they
took a stand, in the pursuit of liberty, they died on foreign land.
Those that made it home, carry a burden
within their soul, more years behind them now, yet stories remain untold.
We may never understand it, few hearts can
comprehend, the courage one must possess, to rise and take a stand.
So I ask of you this, dear friends and family,
how will you remember this most carrest legacy?
Will you bow your head in silence, offer a
silent prayer let’s honour all they’ve sacrificed, for the freedoms we hold dear.
