My Awesome Time In Wellington

Wellington

Flat Hills
Bus
Subway

Fun time with my family
(Yawn)
It was a boring time in the bus while Sivi, my brother,
was having fun looking outside while traveling from
Auckland to Wellington.

It was only Sivi, my nana, Lata, and I, we were going to
Wellington, well Tupou, Mary, Tala’ofa and their parents
came to, but they were in a different bus so it took them
only 48 hours to get to Wellington from Auckland.

A few moments later we arrived at our first break,
Hamilton, and I was so worried that I thought we were
going the wrong way to Wellington.

After our break we continued through different cities
and it was Bulls, Palmerston North

Our next break was in a different city and I forgot the
name of that city we were in. We were eating at a
Subway restaurant and this young lady handed me
a bag of popcorn, she said it was to sweet for her
because she didn’t like the popcorn. We offered
some to other people and they disagreed because
it was to sweet for them too.

We were on the bus and I was busy taking videos
on my nana’s phone while eating bliss balls with
peanuts in it. I could only take a video of cows,
horses and a flock of sheep. It was so boring
because I could only see animals, clouds, people,
trees, grass, fences, gates and more.

It was 2 hours later and we still saw nothing until we
ended up at our last stop in the middle city of Wellington
and I was so happy to walk again. The people that picked
us up was my two favourite grandpas. We arrived at my
grandpa’s house in Wellington and my cousins were saying
if I go in there it will be very, very boring cause they had
nothing to do. When I went inside food for Sivi, Lata, my
nana,  and I.

It was so boring because all I was doing was just
hearing the adults talk while we do nothing at all.

After that we went to my uncle's house with my
two cousins. While we were living there we had a
few pet fishes and the were so cute. After our
unpacking we were watching How to Train Your
Dragon and it was episodes which was kind of cool,
but it was so fun feeding the fishes in the tank.

The next day it was the day of my baby cousins birthday,
Jael-Cynthia is her name and she turned 1. I got
dressed up and my other cousins went to their house
to dress up.

We got to the birthday and I saw Jael and she had
a gown and a crown. She looked so pretty but mostly
cute. My aunty, Jael’s mother, hasn’t seen me in a
long time. It was cool because you can get a pretty good
view from the top and the sunset was very, very
beautiful. When everyone arrived we started the birthday and
then it was time for our dance. Mary was the
one who made the remix.

After the birthday was finished, the next day we went to
the pools and it was super fun because we got to play
on the long water slide and I was laying down on a huge
rainbow floatie.

The next day it was time to leave so we packed up and
started to hop on to the bus. For our first break it was in Flat
Hills and it had a park and a bouncy castle, and it was so
awesome, and quite bouncy for me.

A few hours later we made it back home and that was
so fun being out of Auckland for the first time.

SLJ-Day 1 Activity 1: In The Beginning

According to the mythology of Maui, he has brang great goods to his people back in his days and legend has it that he created a magical fish hook from the jawbone of his grandmother and that one day he took his hook, boarded a boat, and rode out into the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Aotearoa New Zealand, was formed when Maui, a powerful demigod, fished it out of the sea. Maui kept his people safe ever since then.

Maui is the gifted, clever demigod of Polynesian mythology responsible for fishing up the North Island of Aotearoa, New Zealand. After a miraculous birth and upbringing Maui won the affection of his supernatural parents, taught useful arts to mankind, snared the sun and tamed fire.

1. Maui - no ordinary man:
Maui is the gifted, clever demigod of Polynesian mythology responsible for fishing up the North Island of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

After a miraculous birth and upbringing Maui won the affection of his supernatural parents, taught useful arts to mankind, snared the sun and tamed fire. But one of his most famous feats was fishing up the North Island.

2. Fishing up an island:
Despising him, Maui’s four brothers conspired to leave him behind when they went out fishing. Overhearing their plans, Maui secretly made a fishhook from a magical ancestral jawbone. Then one night he crept into his brothers' canoe and hid under the floorboards.

It wasn't until the brothers were far out of sight of land and had filled the bottom of their canoe with fish that Maui revealed himself. Then he took out his magic fishhook and threw it over the side of the canoe, chanting powerful incantations as he did so.
The hook went deeper and deeper into the sea until Maui felt the hook had touched something. He tugged gently and far below the hook caught fast. It was a huge fish! Together with his brothers, Maui brought the fish to the surface.

Maui cautioned his brothers to wait until he had appeased Tangaroa the god of the sea before they cut into the fish. They grew tired of waiting and began to carve out pieces for themselves. These are now the many valleys, mountains, lakes and rocky coastlines of the North Island.

3. Te Ika a Maui - Maui's fish:
To this day the North Island is known to Maori as Te Ika a Maui or Maui’s fish. Take a look at a map of New Zealand to see the fish’s head in the south and its tail in the North Island. The South Island is also known as Te Waka a Maui or Maui’s canoe, and Stewart Island or Rakiura is known as Te Punga a Maui or Maui’s anchor stone.

Maui was a great demigod for his people. If i were a demigod, it will be challenging to keep all danger away from my people. I think that being a demigod will be lots of hard work, feeding your people and keeping them super safe and comfortable.

Māui is the gifted, clever demigod of Polynesian mythology responsible for fishing up the North Island of Aotearoa, New Zealand. After a miraculous birth and upbringing Māui won the affection of his supernatural parents, taught useful arts to mankind, snared the sun and tamed fire.

Athletics Day

On a fine and sunny day, Room 9, 7 and 10 went to the Pakuranga Athletics Club and we did lots of different things there. I went there to play shot put and discus. My friends did lots of different stuff than me. I had so much fun.

My first event was discus. I tried my best to throw the discus far. When it was my turn I threw it in the opposite direction. That was so fun.

Then we took a break and 1 minutes Victoria and I went to the shot put event and she keeps doing a no throw in all her turns. Well I keep doing a throw but I don’t do it that far.

I keep encouraging and supporting the others in Glenbrae School. Our chant for shot put was “Push and Power” which I just made up.

I followed Miss. Smith around and I was so tired that I couldn’t even move my legs anymore. I had fun being my teachers assistance and running around with her.

I walked pass school tents and met lots of other people there. I knew some schools very well, that sometimes I’d forget there school names.

I had so much fun that I forgot that my leg hurt so much that when I realized it hurts even more.

When the events finished we went back to school and we were all so tired for run and walking around.

Lily and the Snowman

On a snowy evening I built a Snowman and that
exact Snowman came to life. Wow!

As years passed, I had forgotten about the snowman I had built in
my childhood. I was busy with work. I had no time to play
with the snowman I had built. My snowman felt so lonely and heartbroken.

When I was at work I accidentally tipped over my coffee and my
snow globe reminded me of my snowman that I built.

Finally I found my snowman and made sure that my daughter
had a new friend to play with.

Make time for what you love.

The End.

Acrostic Poem - Church

Cold, shivering in the pitch, black night.
Having fun and doing what’s right.
Using my manners through and through.
Right not wrong that's what I do.
Cake and ice-cream was very yum.
Having to dance was a bit glum.

FUN!!

On a sunny day I went to my aunt's house and my cousin put
long fake nails on me. It felt so uncomfortable. My cousin,
Mila Leka, handed me  a bowl of lollies. I felt like I was in heaven.

The next day we went to the mall and my baby cousin, Olivia,
went on a horsey ride well I went on the elephant ride.
It was really fast and quite fun too.

Then by baby cousin went on to the merry-go-round.
She met lots of other babies there. Their mothers were
very kind. My aunt gave me money and I bought a book
and a pen to write notes for my family.

After that we went to eat KFC and go to the park. I ran to the
giant tunnel slide and the swing which was really fun. In fact,
I was screaming with excitement!

When we got home I played MSP, Movie Star Planet. I’ve
got one account. I am FURIOUSXX and I only wear black and white.

That was the coolest time of my life. Until I had to go home.
