Long, long ago there was a village filled with lovely people in China. There was a beastly dragon who comes every new year and eats anything that is in his way or anything he sees. The dragon’s name is Nian and he lives deep under water. Nian scared the villagers and the villagers decide to take off and take their loved ones old and young deep into the forest to hide from the dragon Nian. While they were walking they found a man. The villagers found a lot about Nian’s weakness so they went back to their village and decided to paint their houses red and post red papers and also wore red clothing. They would put on the fireworks and listen to loud music. All the loud music, fireworks and red colour frighten Nian and Nian never ever came back again.
