The Mighty All Blacks

I am a mighty Kiwi,
New Zealand born and proud,
I love my Kiwi accent,
You can pick me in any crowd!

Though I roam across distant seas,
and cross nations through the sky,
the thought of New Zealand
can bring tears into my eyes.

I'll watch the All Blacks Haka,
proud chest and lump in throat,
goosebumps across my skin,
for our anthem, pride in each note.

I strange lands, town and cities,
unknown places, foreign shores,
you may hear a familiar accent say,
"Im from the North, which town is yours?"

And though I don't live back at home,
how long I'll be away or how long we'll be apart,
there's one thing on which you can be sure of,
New Zealand, Aotearoa, is always in my heart.

The Olympic Games / Poem

The Olympic Games

It is that time of the year.
where people stand and cheer.

Dreams of Olympic gold.
Stories will soon be told.

Athletes give it their all.
As the world watches in awe!

Let’s support the home team.
As they live out their childhood dreams.

So let the games begin!

The world, as one, will win!

Winter Poem

Winter Poem

Smooth and clean and frosty white
The world looks good enough to bite.
That’s the season to be young.
Catching snowflakes on your tongue.

The Girl With The Bloody Knife

The Girl In The Dress

Mr. and Mrs. Stevens were going out to dinner on a very rainy night and they asked Jessica to watch over their eight-year-old daughter, Joy. Before Steven’s left, they told Jessica the Joy couldn’t have dessert until her supper was gone. Jessica thought ok that'll be easy enough.

When Joy was finished with her supper she asked Jessica for Ice-Cream.

“Did you finish your supper?” asked Jessica

“Yes” replied Joy gently

“Ok where's the Ice-Cream,” She asked

“In the basement”

“OK,” She said, when she went down the stairs she looked out the window, and standing out there was a little girl in a white dress, it wasn’t raining where she was standing, but Jessica was in a hurry so she didn’t notice it.

She got the Ice-Cream then hurry up and got upstairs.

“Can you get me some fudge?” Joy Wined.

“Where is it?” asked Jessica kindly.

“In the basement.”

Jessica sighs quickly so Joy didn’t hear and went downstairs to get the fudge.

After grabbing the fudge, she turned to the window and the same girl again, but this time she was wearing a red dress. She got freaked out and sped walked upstairs.

“Can you get me some nuts?” Joy whined.

“Where are those?” Jessica asked hoping her not to say what she had said earlier.

“In the basement,” she said and smiled.

Jessica got a little scared as she walked down the stairs for the third time. She looked out the window like the other two times and this time the girl in the red dress had a knife.
Jessica got scared, grabbed the nuts and ran upstairs and panting and gave the nuts to Joy.

“Uummmmmmmm………. Can you get my special spoon? '' She said very sternly.

Jessica sighed in relief thinking she didn’t have to go back down because spoon doesn’t go in basements. “Where are they?”.

Her heart nearly stopped at the answer, “In the basement”.

“No, I am not going down there again”. She said very sternly.

“But I want my spoon.” Joy whined.

“OK. Ok but nothing after this. '' She said as she turned towards the stairs. She crept slowly down the creaky stairs and looked out the window, she nearly screamed at the sight before her. The girl in the red dress had now a bloody knife with the evilest smile Jessica had ever seen. Forgetting the spoon she ran up the basement stairs as fast as her legs could carry her, and when she got up to the kitchen table she saw Joy laying dead in her chair.

Jessica called Steven’s and the cops when they got there Jessica was crying and shaking so hard they had to wait a few hours to question her about what happened. When she finally calmed down she said.

“I s-saw a l-little girl d-downstairs i-in the w-window w-with a b-bloody knife i-in h-her hand.”

Mrs. Steven looked at her with confused teary eyes and said: “We don’t have windows……. only mirrors.”
