Which islands did the first Pasifika people migrate to?
Between 110 and 800 BCE these voyagers spread to Fiji and West Polynesia, including Tonga and Samoa.
How did they travel to NZ?

After the Second World War, close links, job opportunities and population pressure on some islands led many Pacific people to migrate to New Zealand.

Waitangi Activity
Today for Inquiry each and everyone of us got a task. My task was to figure out "How many chiefs have signed the Treaty".
I did my research and found out that only 40 chiefs have signed the Treaty.

10 Facts of Sea Turtles
1. Sea turtles are reptiles
2. They have a hard shell
3. They have four flippers
4. They have no teeth
5. Female turtles do all the hard work
6. Female turtles only lay their eggs in the night
7. Sea turtles can lay about 1,00 eggs
8. Female turtles can dig a deep hole just as deep as her flipper
9. Sea turtles are mostly endangered by human beings
10. If the weather is hot then the sea turtle eggs are girls but if it is cold then it is boys and when it is warm there is boys and girls

Maungarei
1. Maungarei or Mt Wellington is located in East Auckland.
2. It was formed by an eruption 10 000 yrs ago.
3. It is 135m high.
4. Mt Wellington was first used as a pa.
5. A reservoir was constructed near the summit of the cone and supplies Glen Innes St. Heliers, St Johns, Kohimarama and Glendowie.
